IPL Season 6 Match 28 Results ( DD Vs MI )

The 27th  Match of IPL Season 6 was played between  Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians    at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi on Sunday, 21st April, 2013. 


The toss was won by Mumbai Indians team and they chose to go for batting first.   Delhi Daredevils emerged as winners of the match by 9 wickets ( 18 balls remaining).   V.Sehwag  of Delhi Daredevils is declared as Man of the Match.

Mumbai Indians had done batting first.  They made 161 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs.  Delhi Daredevils made 165 runs for 1 wicket in 17 overs.

The Delhi Daredevils finally ended their six-match losing streak in IPL 2013.  DD team has won their first match in this IPL 2013 that too by 9 wickets.  Virender Sehwag and Captaion Mahela Jayawardhene made half centuries.  Here are some of the important highlights of the IPL 2013 Match 28. 

• Virender Sehwag and Mahela Jayawardhene's opening partnership of 151 runs in 15.5 overs was the Record of DD team for any wicket against MI.

• Sehwag's 50 came off 31 balls
• Jayawardhene reaches his 50 runs in 34 balls.  His score of 59 runs contain 8 fours and 1 six
• This is DD's first win in IPL 2013 after losing 6 times successively
• This is the DD's first time success after West Indies batting legend Sir VivianRichards joined the team as advisor
